Dear Sir,

13th November, 1916.

Towards the close of the meeting of the

Executive Committee on the 9th November, a further

discussion arose on the exact relations which were to

be maintained between the Royal Flying Corps Hospital

and its Hongkong extension. From this discussion it appeared that the view of the Hongkong representative was that the extension was to be entirely separate,

even to the extent that no funds of the R. F. C.

Hospital could be devoted to the enlargement of the

extension, should such enlargement become desirable.

When the suggestion was first made that the

Hongkong War Charities Committee should, from their

surplus funds make a contribution to the R. F. C,

Hospital, I was asked, through the medium of the

Colonial Secretary, whether the Hospital would be

divided, and a separate portion allotted to the War
